Each year, more than 700,000 tonnes of used clothes are thrown away in Germany. From a purely technical point of view, they have only 40 percent of their life behind them. If they are not further processed the mountains of waste grow enormously.

At the same time, the demand for new clothing is growing. Each year, 19 million tonnes of cotton are produced on 340,000 square kilometres of land. 50 percent of the worldwide consumption of pesticides is used for cotton growing. 15 to 20 kilowatt-hours of energy and up to 20,000 litres of water are required to produce one kilogram of cotton fabric.

To maintain intact nature for our descendants, "old clothes" must be returned to the use cycle. Put your clothes that you no longer wear in the collection bank! That way you not only support environmental protection and charitable causes. Textile recycling creates jobs at home and abroad and saves additional waste charges.
